Cherrapunjee, also known as Sohra, is a high-altitude city in the state of Meghalaya in north-eastern India. It is known for its living gum tree root bridges. To the northeast, the Mawkdok Dympep Valley lookout overlooks the verdant canyons. In the surrounding hills, NohKalikai, DainThlen, and Kynrem waterfalls cascade from forested cliffs. South of town, Mawsmai Cave is illuminated to show off its stalagmites.
